Capelli Bei Salon
Capelli Bei is a salon located right in the bustling part of Johnson City Tennessee. I found out about this place through Tik Tok. As someone who loves any sort of spa experience I was immediately intrigued. Mandy reached out to me through Tik Tok and was interested in trading services and I am extremely happy we did. Their salon offers a multitude of relaxing services that varies from a Head Spa, to a makeover, facials, waxing, body sculpting, and more. Salon Insight:
The salon is conveniently located in a Suite style complex right off the corner of W Springbrook Drive. Located only about 5-10 minutes away from anything downtown or in the main area of Johnson City. It was roughly a 3 minute drive from The Johnson City Mall or Texas Roadhouse. When I arrived it was easy to navigate where the entrance of the building was. Parking is located directly beside the building and you will find the walk way to the entrance located to the left of the Capelli’s building sign. It’s located on the top floor and I parked at the upper parking lot of the complex.
Once I was inside I was greeted immediately and waited to be called for my services. The inside of the salon was very professional and extremely well maintained. Modern art and decorative pieces welcomed you in to a clean and comfortable atmosphere. There were a couple different areas that you can recognize were meant for different estheticians work spaces. There was a main area that was obvious the stylists provided hair services in. Then there was a dim lit hallway where the other services were provided like nails, facials, sculpting, etc. They did mention that they are eventually looking to add a masseuse, which I mentioned I was very interested in.
I didn’t have to wait at all for the esthetician to come to get me for my services. Mandy greeted me and immediately I knew I would love her. She radiated the room with light and made you feel welcome from the moment I met her. She guided me down the hallway and in to her room where she provides services for her clients.
Mandy’s space provides the perfect area for you to wash away the stress of your day. The room was designed strategically for you to feel right at home. Her room was decorated with beautiful decor as well as a cozy chair for anyone just needing to relax. There were plenty of equipment to make yourself the upmost comfortable such as extra towels, complimentary water, a cozy blanket etc. Mandy even further took the role of making you feel incredibly relaxed, by having bluetooth controlled lights that she could adjust from her phone. While providing services she had the lights dimmed perfectly on a warm purple setting. The environment was relaxed even more by the continuous background noise that was fit for any spa experience.
My Services
When reaching out to me through social media Mandy asked me what service I was interested in the most. Being someone who has issues with hormonal acne and already having problematic issues with a combination skin type, I knew I was most interested in a facial. She assured me we could get all of my needs met or at the very least addressed. Mandy was sure to ask me a list of thought provoking questions before I even came to my appointment to assure she could be prepared for what my skin type needed. The thing I found incredibly interesting about my service is Mandy only provides 1 type of facial for all of her clients. What I mean by this is in the past I’ve always found it mostly confusing to choose what type of facial I think is best for me. If you’ve ever been on a website that offers facials you’ll recognize that there are a multitude of types of facials offered. I’ve always been confused on if I need a “hydrating facial”, “luminous facial”, “CBD hemp facial”, “Enzyme Facial”, and the list goes on. I have never been incredibly knowledgeable on skin care or what my specific skin type entails, so I have always been indifferent about what to choose. Mandy simplifies this by only offering 1 type of facial. She asks you some necessary questions prior to your appointment, and then she waits to assess your skin until you are in her office. Once assessing your skin and problem areas Mandy suggest what she think would be most beneficial to you, while also aligning with your goals for your skin. It took all of the hassle out of my hands and made the process so much more seamless.
After explaining my unique facial she would be providing Mandy got started on her work and made sure to explain every step of the way. We started off with a cleanse with a raspberry refining cleanser, this smelled so good and immediately made my skin feel so clean. After this, she went in and toned my skin with a mint refining cleaner. She then started on a pineapple enzyme allowing my face to sit under the steam during. As someone who has obvious clogged pores, Mandy suggested that we then do some hydrodermabrasion. This entailed a non invasive suction device that was about the size of a screwdriver. The tip of the devices has an open ended hole that uses a mixture of water and exfoliating solutions that cleanses and exfoliates. The device will gently lift dead skin cells and debris from your clogged pores, diminishing the look of my stubborn blackheads. After this step, we used a Citrus C Serum mixed with a light aloe moisturizer over that and also added a strawberry spearmint mask. This mask felt like jelly and felt so incredible on my skin. During this time Mandy let me sit in silence and just relax with the mask on. After the mask had run its course, we did ice globes, which consists of 2 freezing cold globe sticks that she will use to massage your face, for 3 minutes afterwards that left my face feeling so relaxed after the process of the facial. Mandy was sure to finish off the facial with a hydrating moisturizer and SPF.
To add, Mandy ensured me she uses natural products which is something I really appreciated. As someone who has very sensitive skin, it’s hard to find products that don’t leave my skin red and irritated afterwards. I had no discomfort during this facial, and afterwards my face was free of any redness or irritation. Mandy does also sell these products if you are interested in any specific ones after your service!
When I tell you I was GLOWING after I left, that is an understatement. I left with my face looking like I had just completed a 15 step nighttime skin care routine. My face looked so much more radiant than before, my blackheads were almost nonexistant, and my complexion looked seamless. The texture of my face felt like butter. Mandy did warn me that after your facial you may experience a few pop up spots of acne due to your face purging them after the process of the facial, that did happen but was very minimal and quickly resolved itself. For days afterwards my skin was glowing and I still, almost a week later, feel like my skin has improved.
My rating & Would I return?
I absolutely adored my experience at Capellis. I encountered multiple friendly faces, gained knowledgeable informational and over all had a relaxing experience. I would give Mandy an 11/10 if I could. Mandy easily matched my energy and kept conversation light and fun. The environment was relaxing and soothing with the combination of lights and sounds. I also gained a lot of information that I did not know prior to going. Mandy made the entire process so seamless and gave me very little room to have to choose or decide, she just gave me her most educated opinion and asked me if I was okay with it. I personally hate making decisions, and choices make me anxious so this improved my experience ten fold. I could easily see myself coming back for any of the multiple services Mandy offers. I truly believe she has her clients best interest at heart and is incredibly passionate about her career.
